Amazing Grace
The Royal Albert Hall 15 March 2011 saw a great return of Prom Praise for Schools event.
The theme for the 2011 project was 'Amazing Grace'. Inspired by the 200th anniversary of the National Schools, the programme reflecting 200 years of educating London school children, through word and music.
The evening saw key characters in its history, such as John Newton and Joshua Watson, brought to life to tell their part in the story and how, motivated by that Amazing Grace, they built schools, sheltered the outcasts and served the life of London.
The music reflected many of the diverse communities involved in that story right up to the present day and will include guest appearances from Psalm Drummers and Twyford School Gospel Choir (winners of the 2009 BBC Songs of Praise Choir of the Year).

We hope to continue this project in future years.
If you are interested in being involved in anyway (particularly in helping raise the funds needed to support it - or if you are in a school that might be interested in taking part), contact
