Players and Performers
The All Souls Orchestra, is a unique combination of professional and amateur musicians united not only in their love for God, but also in the excellence of their musicianship. Over time many of the Orchestra's members have also been
professionals including those who play with ensembles such as the BBC Symphony and Concert Orchestras, the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra as well as the English National and Glyndebourne Operas. These gifted professionals play alongside equally gifted amateurs and teachers - with remarkable spiritual and musical unity all coming together under the dynamic guidance of Musical Director and Principal Conductor, Noël Tredinnick.
Amongst the committed Christian soloists who have performed at Langham Arts events over the years have been rising stars in the opera, concert and
musical theatre world. They have included Matthew Brook, Catherine Fish, Helen Kucharek, Joanne Lunn, Kathleen McKellar-Ferguson, Heidi Pegler, Diane Petherick, Elizabeth Rodger, Brindley Sherratt, Laurence Whitehead, Sarah Stroh, Margaret Ferguson and Marjory Watson.
Guest performers with the All Souls musicians have included such well known Christian names as Roy Castle, Wendy Craig, Gloria Gaynor, Peter Goodwright, Fiona Hendley, Paul Jones, Sir Cliff Richard, David Suchet and Jonathan Veira. From time to time, we have also joined with prominent Christian worship leaders and songwriters such as Graham Kendrick, Matt Redman, Dave Pope, Doug Walker, Chris Eaton, Stuart Townend and most recently Keith & Kristyn Getty and Geraldine Latty.
Each event is guided through by a genial host. This role has often been taken by ministers from All Souls Church including previous Rectors Michael Baughen, Richard Bewes and now Hugh Palmer, along with others such as evangelist Rico Tice. At other times we make a partnership with other groups and guest speakers have included Rob Parsons (of Care for the Family), Dave Pope (of Saltmine) and Fiona Castle.
